TSK · Daniel 8:2

¶ And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;

¶ The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,

So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.

And Esther said, The adversary and enemy [is] this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.

And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

And all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,

There [is] Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit.

¶ I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of [my] body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

¶ God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
