¶ And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

¶ And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing [them] rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.

And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

¶ And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which [was] in their hand into the house, and bowed themselves to him to the earth.

And Judah and his brethren came to Joseph's house; for he [was] yet there: and they fell before him on the ground.

¶ And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, [Art] thou for us, or for our adversaries?

Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance [was] like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible: but I asked him not whence he [was], neither told he me his name:

And when the sons of the prophets which [were] to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
