And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand [of him whom] thou wilt send.
And when he saw [that], he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which [belongeth] to Judah, and left his servant there.
Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.
¶ So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.
¶ Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
Tarshish [was] thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all [kind of] riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.
And Jesus said unto him, ‹No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.›
And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
