And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.

Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

¶ And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

¶ Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

And Jesus answered and said unto them, ‹For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.›

What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
