So Abram moved his tents and went to live by the oaks of Mamre in Hebron, and he built an altar to the LORD there.

Abraham said,“I swear to do this.”

for I really was kidnapped from the land of the Hebrews and I have done nothing wrong here for which they should put me in a dungeon.”

They set a place for him, a separate place for his brothers, and another for the Egyptians who were eating with him.(The Egyptians are not able to eat with Hebrews, for the Egyptians think it is disgusting to do so.)

The Presumption of the Deliverer In those days, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and observed their hard labor, and he saw an Egyptian man attacking a Hebrew man, one of his own people.

Eli Dies On that day a Benjaminite ran from the battle lines and came to Shiloh. His clothes were torn and dirt was on his head.

and the Sabeans swooped down and carried them all away, and they killed the servants with the sword! And I– only I alone– escaped to tell you!”

Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I.
