All this will come to pass because Abraham obeyed me and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”
Moses said to the people,“Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you so that you do not sin.”
Then Samuel said,“Does the LORD take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as he does in obedience? Certainly, obedience is better than sacrifice; paying attention is better than the fat of rams.
He will deliver you from six calamities; yes, in seven no evil will touch you.
Certainly the LORD guards the way of the godly, but the way of the wicked ends in destruction.
The LORD shows his faithful followers the way they should live.
To obey the LORD is the fundamental principle for wise living; all who carry out his precepts acquire good moral insight. He will receive praise forever.
