TSK · Genesis 35:1

Then he moved from there to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the LORD and worshiped the LORD.

He said,“Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?” She replied,“I’m running away from my mistress, Sarai.”

So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing his father had given to his brother. Esau said privately,“The time of mourning for my father is near; then I will kill my brother Jacob!”

and the LORD stood at its top. He said,“I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the ground you are lying on.

The Marriages of Jacob So Jacob moved on and came to the land of the eastern people.

I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the sacred stone and made a vow to me. Now leave this land immediately and return to your native land.’”

Jacob named the place where God spoke with him Bethel.

The LORD will judge his people, and will change his plans concerning his servants; when he sees that their power has disappeared, and that no one is left, whether confined or set free.

He picked out for us a special land to be a source of pride for Jacob, whom he loves.(Selah)

When you make a vow to God, do not delay in paying it. For God takes no pleasure in fools: Pay what you vow!

Proclamation of the Deliverance of Judah(2:1) Look! A herald is running on the mountains! A messenger is proclaiming deliverance:“Celebrate your sacred festivals, O Judah! Fulfill your sacred vows to praise God! For never again will the wicked Assyrians invade you, they have been completely destroyed.”
