How then was it credited to him? Was he circumcised at the time, or not? No, he was not circumcised but uncircumcised!

For the scripture says to Pharaoh:“For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may demonstrate my power in you, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.”

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,

But the scripture imprisoned everything under sin so that the promise could be given– because of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ– to those who believe.

For it says in scripture,“Look, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will never be put to shame.”
