Tell the whole community of Israel,‘In the tenth day of this month they each must take a lamb for themselves according to their families– a lamb for each household.

“Why did you not eat the sin offering in the sanctuary? For it is most holy and he gave it to you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement on their behalf before the LORD.

one young bull, one ram, and one male lamb in its first year, for a burnt offering;

But the Levites must perform the service of the tent of meeting, and they must bear their iniquity. It will be a perpetual ordinance throughout your generations that among the Israelites the Levites have no inheritance.

You will say to them,‘This is the offering made by fire which you must offer to the LORD: two unblemished lambs one year old each day for a continual burnt offering.

Having suffered, he will reflect on his work, he will be satisfied when he understands what he has done.“My servant will acquit many, for he carried their sins.

She will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Now the passage of scripture the man was reading was this:“He was led like a sheep to slaughter, and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received– that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,

who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father,

who gave himself as a ransom for all, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.

The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

so also, after Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, to those who eagerly await him he will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we may cease from sinning and live for righteousness. By his wounds you were healed.

and he himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world.

In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Then I saw standing in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb that appeared to have been killed. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

all of whom were singing in a loud voice:“Worthy is the lamb who was killed to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and praise!”

They said to the mountains and to the rocks,“Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who is seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb,

But they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.

that person will also drink of the wine of God’s anger that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb.

They will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those accompanying the Lamb are the called, chosen, and faithful.”

Then the angel said to me,“Write the following: Blessed are those who are invited to the banquet at the wedding celebration of the Lamb!” He also said to me,“These are the true words of God.”

The wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

but nothing ritually unclean will ever enter into it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or practices falsehood, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
