“I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”

His dominion will be vast and he will bring immeasurable prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom, establishing it and strengthening it by promoting justice and fairness, from this time forward and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies will accomplish this.

Then tell them,‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Look, I am about to take the Israelites from among the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from round about and bring them to their land.

Hosea 3:5 TSK

Afterward, the Israelites will turn and seek the LORD their God and their Davidic king. Then they will submit to the LORD in fear and receive his blessings in the future.

The LORD has removed the judgment against you; he has turned back your enemy. Israel’s king, the LORD, is in your midst! You no longer need to fear disaster.

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Look! Your king is coming to you: he is legitimate and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey– on a young donkey, the foal of a female donkey.

Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying,“Truly you are the Son of God.”

Jesus and Pilate Then Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him,“Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus said,“You say so.”

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God.”

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him. They began to shout,“Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel!”

Pilate also had a notice written and fastened to the cross, which read:“Jesus the Nazarene, the king of the Jews.”
