But Jesus cried out with a loud voice and breathed his last.

Jesus’ Death After this Jesus, realizing that by this time everything was completed, said(in order to fulfill the scripture),“I am thirsty!”
For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes.
He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death– even death on a cross!
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death(that is, the devil),
Indeed according to the law almost everything was purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
