I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my allotted portion.

The Lord Will Rejuvenate His People The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, because the LORD has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,

Going a little farther, he threw himself down with his face to the ground and prayed,“My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.”

But he said to them,“I have food to eat that you know nothing about.”

“But I have a testimony greater than that from John. For the deeds that the Father has assigned me to complete– the deeds I am now doing– testify about me that the Father has sent me.

For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.

When he had received the sour wine, Jesus said,“It is completed!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
