Even young lions sometimes lack food and are hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

vindicates the oppressed, and gives food to the hungry. The LORD releases the imprisoned.

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.

“But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your comfort already.

The Rich Man and Lazarus“There was a rich man who dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.

When Jesus noticed this, he said,“How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!

Jesus said to them,“I am the bread of life. The one who comes to me will never go hungry, and the one who believes in me will never be thirsty.

Already you are satisfied! Already you are rich! You have become kings without us! I wish you had become kings so that we could reign with you!

Warning to the Rich Come now, you rich! Weep and cry aloud over the miseries that are coming on you.

They will never go hungry or be thirsty again, and the sun will not beat down on them, nor any burning heat,
