“When someone has a swelling or a scab or a bright spot on the skin of his body that may become a diseased infection, he must be brought to Aaron the priest or one of his sons, the priests.

When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said,“Am I God? Can I kill or restore life? Why does he ask me to cure a man of his skin disease? Certainly you must see that he is looking for an excuse to fight me!”

So Jesus replied to him,“Let it happen now, for it is right for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John yielded to him.

Pure-hearted Giving“Be careful not to display your righteousness merely to be seen by people. Otherwise you have no reward with your Father in heaven.

And you will be brought before governors and kings because of me, as a witness to them and to the Gentiles.

Then he instructed his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.
