Jeremiah composed laments for Josiah which all the male and female singers use to mourn Josiah to this very day. It has become customary in Israel to sing these; they are recorded in the Book of Laments.

A Protest of Innocence And Job took up his discourse again:

you will taunt the king of Babylon with these words:“Look how the oppressor has met his end! Hostility has ceased!

Why, LORD, do you make us stray from your ways, and make our minds stubborn so that we do not obey you? Return for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your inheritance!

The Coming Destruction Calls For Mourning I said,“I will weep and mourn for the grasslands on the mountains, I will sing a mournful song for the pastures in the wilderness because they are so scorched no one travels through them. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies told me to say to this people,“Take note of what I say. Call for the women who mourn for the dead! Summon those who are the most skilled at it!”

So I, the LORD, affirm that I will send for all the peoples of the north and my servant, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and all the nations that surround it. I will utterly destroy this land, its inhabitants, and all the nations that surround it and make them everlasting ruins. I will make them objects of horror and hissing scorn.

He unrolled it before me, and it had writing on the front and back; written on it were laments, mourning, and woe.
