just as I was in my most productive time, when God’s intimate friendship was experienced in my tent,

The LORD’s loyal followers receive his guidance, and he reveals his covenantal demands to them.

A worthless and wicked person walks around saying perverse things;

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; I hate arrogant pride and the evil way and perverse utterances.

The heart knows its own bitterness, and with its joy no one else can share.

Jesus’ Invitation At that time Jesus said,“I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to little children.

But Jesus said to them,“You are the ones who justify yourselves in men’s eyes, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly prized among men is utterly detestable in God’s sight.

I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father.
