The two men, the base fellows, came in and sat before him. The base fellows testified against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth cursed God and the king!" Then they carried him out of the city, and stoned him to death with stones.
A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.
To be partial to the faces of the wicked is not good, nor to deprive the innocent of justice.
He who says to the wicked, "You are righteous;" peoples shall curse him, and nations shall abhor him--
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says Yahweh.
Her princes in its midst are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.
For I know how many your offenses, and how great are your sins-- you who afflict the just, who take a bribe, and who turn aside the needy in the courts.
But they all cried out together, saying, "Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!"--
You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous one. He doesn't resist you.
