Kiahk ist der Monat des Geburtsfastens und der großen mitternächtlichen Lobgesänge: Woche um Woche hält die Kirche mit der Gottesgebärerin Wache und singt die Tasbeha bis zum Morgengrauen. Sein geliebtes Losungswort lautet — „Kiahk, dein Morgen ist dein Abend“ — und an seinem Ende bricht das Licht von Bethlehem über Ägypten herein.
