The sons^H1121 of Shem:^H8035 Elam,^H5867 and Asshur,^H804 and Arpachshad,^H775 and Lud,^H3865 and Aram.^H758

Because of the oppression^H7701 of the poor,^H6041 because of the sighing^H603 of the needy,^H34 Now will I arise,^H6965 saith^H559 Jehovah;^H3068 I will set^H7896 him in the safety^H3468 he panteth^H6315 for.

Let the sighing^H603 of the prisoner^H615 come^H935 before^H6440 thee: According to the greatness^H1433 of thy power^H2220 preserve^H3498 thou those that are appointed^H1121 to death;^H8546

Good^H2896 understanding^H7922 giveth^H5414 favor;^H2580 But the way^H1870 of the transgressor^H898 is hard.^H386

Set ye up^H5375 an ensign^H5251 upon the bare^H8192 mountain,^H2022 lift up^H7311 the voice^H6963 unto them, wave^H5130 the hand,^H3027 that they may go^H935 into the gates^H6607 of the nobles.^H5081

For Jehovah^H3068 will have compassion^H7355 on Jacob,^H3290 and will yet choose^H977 Israel,^H3478 and set^H3240 them in their own land:^H127 and the sojourner^H1616 shall join^H3867 himself with them, and they shall cleave^H5596 to the house^H1004 of Jacob.^H3290

Thus saith^H559 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts:^H6635 Behold, I will break^H7665 the bow^H7198 of Elam,^H5867 the chief^H7225 of their might.^H1369

Their Redeemer^H1350 is strong;^H2389 Jehovah^H3068 of hosts^H6635 is his name:^H8034 he will thoroughly^H7378 plead^H7378 their cause,^H7379 that he may give rest^H7280 to the earth,^H776 and disquiet^H7264 the inhabitants^H3427 of Babylon.^H894

Make sharp^H1305 the arrows;^H2671 hold firm^H4390 the shields:^H7982 Jehovah^H3068 hath stirred up^H5782 the spirit^H7307 of the kings^H4428 of the Medes;^H4074 because his purpose^H4209 is against Babylon,^H894 to destroy^H7843 it: for it is the vengeance^H5360 of Jehovah,^H3068 the vengeance^H5360 of his temple.^H1964

And I will execute judgment^H6485 upon Bel^H1078 in Babylon,^H894 and I will bring forth^H3318 out^H3318 of his mouth^H6310 that which he hath swallowed up;^H1105 and the nations^H1471 shall not flow any more unto him: yea, the wall^H2346 of Babylon^H894 shall fall.^H5307
