And Moses^H4872 and Aaron^H175 went in^H935 unto Pharaoh,^H6547 and said^H559 unto him, Thus saith^H559 Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of the Hebrews,^H5680 How long^H4970 wilt thou refuse^H3985 to humble^H6031 thyself before^H6440 me? let my people^H5971 go,^H7971 that they may serve^H5647 me.

Seest^H7200 thou how Ahab^H256 humbleth^H3665 himself before^H6440 me? because^H3282 he humbleth^H3665 himself before^H6440 me, I will not bring^H935 the evil^H7451 in his days;^H3117 but in his son's^H1121 days^H3117 will I bring^H935 the evil^H7451 upon his house.^H1004

And when he humbled^H3665 himself, the wrath^H639 of Jehovah^H3068 turned^H7725 from him, so as not to destroy^H7843 him altogether:^H3617 and moreover in Judah^H3063 there were good^H2896 things^H1697 [found].

And when he was in distress,^H6887 he besought^H2470 Jehovah^H3068 his God,^H430 and humbled^H3665 himself greatly^H3966 before^H6440 the God^H430 of his fathers.^H1

And he humbled^H3665 not himself before^H6440 Jehovah,^H3068 as Manasseh^H4519 his father^H1 had humbled^H3665 himself; but this same Amon^H526 trespassed^H819 more^H7235 and more.

O Jehovah,^H3068 the God^H430 of Israel,^H3478 you are righteous;^H6662 for we are left a remnant^H7604 that is escaped,^H6413 as it is this day:^H3117 behold, we are before^H6440 you in our guiltiness;^H819 for none can stand^H5975 before^H6440 you because of this.

I was dumb,^H481 I opened^H6605 not my mouth;^H6310 Because thou didst^H6213 it.

Circumcise^H4135 yourselves to Jehovah,^H3068 and take away^H5493 the foreskins^H6190 of your heart,^H3824 ye men^H376 of Judah^H3063 and inhabitants^H3427 of Jerusalem;^H3389 lest my wrath^H2534 go forth^H3318 like fire,^H784 and burn^H1197 so that none can quench^H3518 it, because^H6440 of the evil^H7455 of your doings.^H4611

Behold, the days^H3117 come,^H935 saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 that I will punish^H6485 all them that are circumcised^H4135 in [their] uncircumcision:^H6190

And they shall comfort^H5162 you, when ye see^H7200 their way^H1870 and their doings;^H5949 and ye shall know^H3045 that I have not done^H6213 without cause^H2600 all that I have done^H6213 in it, saith^H5002 the Lord^H136 Jehovah.^H3069

in that ye have brought^H935 in foreigners,^H1121 uncircumcised^H6189 in heart^H3820 and uncircumcised^H6189 in flesh,^H1320 to be in my sanctuary,^H4720 to profane^H2490 it, even my house,^H1004 when ye offer^H7126 my bread,^H3899 the fat^H2459 and the blood,^H1818 and they have broken^H6565 my covenant,^H1285 [to add]^H413 unto all your abominations.^H8441

O Lord,^H136 righteousness^H6666 belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion^H1322 of face,^H6440 as at this day;^H3117 to the men^H376 of Judah,^H3063 and to the inhabitants^H3427 of Jerusalem,^H3389 and unto all Israel,^H3478 that are near,^H7138 and that are far off,^H7350 through all the countries^H776 whither thou hast driven^H5080 them, because of their trespass^H4604 that they have trespassed^H4603 against thee.

And^G1161 whosoever^G3748 shall exalt^G5312 himself^G1438 shall be humbled;^G5013 and^G2532 whosoever shall^G3748 humble^G5013 himself^G1438 shall be exalted.^G5312

I say^G3004 unto you,^G5213 This man^G3778 went down^G2597 to^G1519 his^G846 house^G3624 justified^G1344 rather than^G2228 the other:^G1565 for^G3754 every one^G3956 that^G3588 exalteth^G5312 himself^G1438 shall be humbled;^G5013 but^G1161 he that^G3588 humbleth^G5013 himself^G1438 shall be exalted.^G5312

For^G1063 he^G3588 is^G2076 not^G3756 a Jew^G2453 who is one^{G3588 G1722} outwardly;^G5318 neither^G3761 is that circumcision^G1722 which is outward^G5318 in^G1722 the flesh:^G4561

for^G1063 we^G2249 are^G2070 the circumcision,^G4061 who worship^G3000 by the Spirit^G4151 of God,^G2316 and^G2532 glory^G2744 in^G1722 Christ^G5547 Jesus,^G2424 and^G2532 have^G3982 no^G3756 confidence^G3982 in^G1722 the flesh:^G4561

But^G1161 he giveth^G1325 more^G3173 grace.^G5485 Wherefore^G1352 [the scripture] saith,^G3004 God^G2316 resisteth^G498 the proud,^G5244 but^G1161 giveth^G1325 grace^G5485 to the humble.^G5011
