TSK · Acts 8:5

¶ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, ‹Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into› [any] ‹city of the Samaritans enter ye not:›

‹But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.›

And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

¶ Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

¶ For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
