¶ The wrath of a king [is as] messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.
¶ A stone [is] heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath [is] heavier than them both.
Then Nebuchadnezzar in [his] rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.
And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast [them] into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
‹And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.›
¶ When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with [their] teeth.
