¶ And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:

[Which] when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, ‹O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?›

And he saith unto them, ‹Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man,› [it] ‹cannot defile him;›

And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

¶ And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, ‹Peace› [be] ‹unto you.›

Then saith he to Thomas, ‹Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust› [it] ‹into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.›

¶ Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

‹As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.›
