As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.
And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, [thou] Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, ‹Hold thy peace, and come out of him.› And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
¶ And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
