Then the LORD said to Moses,“Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for compelled by my strong hand he will release them, and by my strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”

But for this purpose I have caused you to stand: to show you my strength, and so that my name may be declared in all the earth.

It will be a sign for you on your hand and a memorial on your forehead, so that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth, for with a mighty hand the LORD brought you out of Egypt.

It will be for a sign on your hand and for frontlets on your forehead, for with a mighty hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt.”

And the Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I have gained my honor because of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”

After all, they are your people and your special possession whom you brought out of Egypt, from the middle of the iron-smelting furnace.

When your people come to their senses in the land where they are held prisoner, they will repent and beg for your mercy in the land of their imprisonment, admitting,‘We have sinned and gone astray, we have done evil!’

They are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your mighty strength and by your powerful hand.

Yet he delivered them for the sake of his reputation, that he might reveal his power.

Since ancient times no one has heard or perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who intervenes for those who wait for him.

I signed the deed of purchase, sealed it, and had some men serve as witnesses to the purchase. I weighed out the silver for him on a scale.

we have sinned! We have done what is wrong and wicked; we have rebelled by turning away from your commandments and standards.

Then his son said to him,‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
