When the LORD’s angel finished speaking these words to all the Israelites, the people wept loudly.

I am exhausted as I groan; all night long I drench my bed in tears; my tears saturate the cushion beneath me.

The sacrifices God desires are a humble spirit– O God, a humble and repentant heart you will not reject.

Let your clothes always be white, and do not spare precious ointment on your head.
