And there was a man^H376 in Maon,^H4584 whose possessions^H4639 were in Carmel;^H3760 and the man^H376 was very^H3966 great,^H1419 and he had three^H7969 thousand^H505 sheep,^H6629 and a thousand^H505 goats:^H5795 and he was shearing^H1494 his sheep^H6629 in Carmel.^H3760

The terror^H367 of a king^H4428 is as the roaring^H5099 of a lion:^H3715 He that provoketh him to anger^H5674 sinneth^H2398 [against] his own life.^H5315

It shall blossom^H6524 abundantly,^H6524 and rejoice^H1523 even with joy^H1525 and singing;^H7444 the glory^H3519 of Lebanon^H3844 shall be given^H5414 unto it, the excellency^H1926 of Carmel^H3760 and Sharon:^H8289 they shall see^H7200 the glory^H3519 of Jehovah,^H3068 the excellency^H1926 of our God.^H430

How long shall the land^H776 mourn,^H56 and the herbs^H6212 of the whole country^H7704 wither?^H3001 for the wickedness^H7451 of them that dwell^H3427 therein, the beasts^H929 are consumed,^H5595 and the birds;^H5775 because they said,^H559 He shall not see^H7200 our latter end.^H319

Therefore prophesy^H5012 thou against them all these words,^H1697 and say^H559 unto them, Jehovah^H3068 will roar^H7580 from on high,^H4791 and utter^H5414 his voice^H6963 from his holy^H6944 habitation;^H4583 he will mightily^H7580 roar^H7580 against his fold;^H5116 he will give^H6030 a shout,^H1959 as they that tread^H1869 [the grapes], against all the inhabitants^H3427 of the earth.^H776

I will meet^H6298 them as a bear^H1677 that is bereaved^H7909 of her whelps, and will rend^H7167 the caul^H5458 of their heart;^H3820 and there will I devour^H398 them like a lioness;^H3833 the wild^H7704 beast^H2416 shall tear^H1234 them.

Is not the food^H400 cut off^H3772 before our eyes,^H5869 [yea], joy^H8057 and gladness^H1524 from the house^H1004 of our God?^H430

And Jehovah^H3068 will roar^H7580 from Zion,^H6726 and utter^H5414 his voice^H6963 from Jerusalem;^H3389 and the heavens^H8064 and the earth^H776 shall shake:^H7493 but Jehovah^H3068 will be a refuge^H4268 unto his people,^H5971 and a stronghold^H4581 to the children^H1121 of Israel.^H3478

The lion^H738 hath roared;^H7580 who will not^H3808 fear?^H3372 The Lord^H136 Jehovah^H3069 hath spoken;^H1696 who can but prophesy?^H5012

And though they hide^H2244 themselves in the top^H7218 of Carmel,^H3760 I will search^H2664 and take them out^H3947 thence; and though they be hid^H5641 from my sight^H5869 in the bottom^H7172 of the sea,^H3220 thence will I command^H6680 the serpent,^H5175 and it shall bite^H5391 them.
