And it came to pass, when the angel^H4397 of Jehovah^H3068 spake^H1696 these words^H1697 unto all the children^H1121 of Israel,^H3478 that the people^H5971 lifted up^H5375 their voice,^H6963 and wept.^H1058

I am weary^H3021 with my groaning;^H585 Every night^H3915 make I my bed^H4296 to swim;^H7811 I water^H4529 my couch^H4296 with my tears.^H1832

The sacrifices^H2077 of God^H430 are a broken^H7665 spirit:^H7307 A broken^H7665 and contrite^H1794 heart,^H3820 O God,^H430 thou wilt not despise.^H959

Let thy garments^H899 be always^H6256 white;^H3836 and let not thy head^H7218 lack^H2637 oil.^H8081

And thou wentest^H7788 to the king^H4428 with oil,^H8081 and didst increase^H7235 thy perfumes,^H7547 and didst send^H7971 thine ambassadors^H6735 far off,^H7350 and didst debase^H8213 thyself even unto Sheol.^H7585

They shall come^H935 with weeping;^H1065 and with supplications^H8469 will I lead^H2986 them: I will cause them to walk^H3212 by rivers^H5158 of waters,^H4325 in a straight^H3477 way^H1870 wherein they shall not stumble;^H3782 for I am a father^H1 to Israel,^H3478 and Ephraim^H669 is my first-born.^H1060

Yet even now, saith^H5002 Jehovah,^H3068 turn^H7725 ye unto me with all your heart,^H3824 and with fasting,^H6685 and with weeping,^H1065 and with mourning:^H4553

Blessed^G3107 are they that mourn:^G3996 for^G3754 they^G846 shall be comforted.^G3870

riseth^G1453 from^G1537 supper,^G1173 and^G2532 layeth aside^G5087 his^G3588 garments;^G2440 and^G2532 he took^G2983 a towel,^G3012 and girded^G1241 himself.^G1438

Be afflicted,^G5003 and^G2532 mourn,^G3996 and^G2532 weep:^G2799 let^G3344 your^G5216 laughter^G1071 be turned^G3344 to^G1519 mourning,^G3997 and^G2532 your joy^G5479 to^G1519 heaviness.^G2726
