thou shalt not bow down^H7812 thyself unto them, nor serve^H5647 them; for I Jehovah^H3068 thy God^H430 am a jealous^H7067 God,^H430 visiting^H6485 the iniquity^H5771 of the fathers^H1 upon the children,^H1121 upon the third^H8029 and upon the fourth^H7256 generation of them that hate^H8130 me,

lest thou make^H3772 a covenant^H1285 with the inhabitants^H3427 of the land,^H776 and they play the harlot^H2181 after^H310 their gods,^H430 and sacrifice^H2076 unto their gods,^H430 and one call^H7121 thee and thou eat^H398 of his sacrifice;^H2077

Is the iniquity^H5771 of Peor^H6465 too little^H4592 for us, from which we have not cleansed^H2891 ourselves unto this day,^H3117 although there came a plague^H5063 upon the congregation^H5712 of Jehovah,^H3068

When ye transgress^H5674 the covenant^H1285 of Jehovah^H3068 your God,^H430 which he commanded^H6680 you, and go^H1980 and serve^H5647 other^H312 gods,^H430 and bow^H7812 down yourselves to them; then will the anger^H639 of Jehovah^H3068 be kindled^H2734 against you, and ye shall perish^H6 quickly^H4120 from off the good^H2896 land^H776 which he hath given^H5414 unto you.

Yet will I leave^H7604 [me] seven^H7651 thousand^H505 in Israel,^H3478 all the knees^H1290 which have not bowed^H3766 unto Baal,^H1168 and every mouth^H6310 which hath not kissed^H5401 him.

And^G1161 what^G5101 agreement^G4783 hath a temple^G3485 of God^G2316 with^G3326 idols?^G1497 for^G1063 we^G5210 are^G2075 a temple^G3485 of the living^G2198 God;^G2316 even as^G2531 God^G2316 said,^G3754 I will dwell^G1774 in^G1722 them,^G846 and^G2532 walk in^G1704 them; and^G2532 I will be^G2071 their^G846 God,^G2316 and^G2532 they^G846 shall be^G2071 my^G3427 people.^G2992
