TSK · Psalms 39:5

And Barzellai saide vnto the king: How long haue I to liue, that I shuld go vp with the king vnto Hierusalem?

My dayes are more swyft then a runner, they are gone & haue seene no good thing.

Thou doest chasten man, rebukyng him for sinne: thou as a moth doest consume his excellencie, for in very deede euery man is but vanitie. Selah.

Remember what I am, howe short my tyme is of lyfe: wherfore hast thou created in vayne all the sonnes of men?

For all our dayes do passe in thine anger: we spende our yeres as in speaking a worde.

Man is lyke a thyng of naught: his dayes be lyke a shadowe that passeth away.

But when I considered all the workes that my handes had wrought, and all the labour that I had taken therin: lo all was but vanitie and vexation of mynde, and nothing of any value vnder the sunne.

And yet can not ye tel what shall happen on the morowe. For what thyng is your lyfe? It is euen a vapour, that appeareth for a litle tyme, and then he vanisheth away.
