He hath distributed and giuen to ye poore: his righteousnesse remaineth for euer: his horne shalbe exalted with glory.
Many men wil boast, euery one of his owne goodnes: but who can finde a faithfull man?
Therefore shall the Lord haue no pleasure in their yong men, neither will he haue compassion of their fatherlesse and of their widowes: for euery one is an hypocrite and wicked, and euery mouth speaketh follie: yet for all this his wrath is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out stil.
Is it not to deale thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poore that wander, vnto thine house? when thou seest the naked, that thou couer him, and hide not thy selfe from thine owne flesh?
Set the trumpet to thy mouth: he shall come as an egle against the House of the Lord, because they haue transgressed my couenant, & trespassed against my Lawe.
And when thou prayest, be not as the hypocrites: for they loue to stand, and pray in the Synagogues, and in the corners of the streetes, because they would be seene of men. Verely I say vnto you, they haue their rewarde.
Hypocrite, first cast out that beame out of thine owne eye, and then shalt thou see clearely to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.
And in the morning ye say, To day shall be a tempest: for the skie is red and lowring. O hypocrites, ye can discerne the face of the skie, and can ye not discerne the signes of the times?
And loue the chiefe place at feastes, and to haue the chiefe seates in the assemblies,
And will cut him off, & giue him his portion with hypocrites: there shalbe weeping, and gnashing of teeth.
And the chiefe seates in the Synagogues, and the first roumes at feastes,
Either howe canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou seest not the beame that is in thine owne eye? Hypocrite, cast out the beame out of thine owne eye first, and then shalt thou see, perfectly to pull out the mote that is in thy brothers eye.
Wo be to you, Pharises: for ye loue the vppermost seats in the Synagogues, and greetings in the markets.
Hypocrites, ye can discerne the face of the earth, and of the skie: but why discerne ye not this time?
Beware of the Scribes, which willingly go in long robes, and loue salutations in the markets, and the hiest seates in the assemblies, and the chiefe roomes at feastes:
How can ye beleeue, which receiue honour one of another, and seeke not the honour that commeth of God alone?
For some of them thought because Iudas had the bag, that Iesus had sayd vnto him, Buy those things that we haue neede of against ye feast: or that he should giue some thing to the poore.
A deuoute man, and one that feared God with all his housholde, which gaue much almes to the people, and prayed God continually.
And sayd, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine almes are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
Now after many yeres, I came & brought almes to my nation and offerings.
This yet remember, that he which soweth sparingly, shall reape also sparingly, and hee that soweth liberally, shall reape also liberally.
Let him that stole, steale no more: but let him rather labour, and worke with his handes the thing which is good, that hee may haue to giue vnto him that needeth.
That they doe good, and be riche in good woorkes, & readie to distribute, and comunicate,
To doe good, and to distribute forget not: for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
If any man speake, let him speake as the wordes of God. If any man minister, let him do it as of the abilitie which God ministreth, that God in al things may be glorified through Iesus Christ, to whome is prayse and dominion for euer, and euer, Amen.
