TSK · Deuteronomy 23:21

Then Jacob made a vow, saying,“If God is with me and protects me on this journey I am taking and gives me food to eat and clothing to wear,

and my anger will burn and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives will be widows and your children will be fatherless.

Vows Made by Men Moses told the leaders of the tribes concerning the Israelites,“This is what the LORD has commanded:

You may exact payment from a foreigner, but whatever your fellow Israelite owes you, you must remit.

He does not charge interest when he lends his money. He does not take bribes to testify against the innocent. The one who lives like this will never be shaken.

I will enter your temple with burnt sacrifices; I will fulfill the vows I made to you,

I will fulfill my vows to the LORD before all his people,

does not engage in usury or charge interest, but refrains from wrongdoing, promotes true justice between men,

But as for me, I promise to offer a sacrifice to you with a public declaration of praise; I will surely do what I have promised. Salvation belongs to the LORD!”

Oaths“Again, you have heard that it was said to an older generation,‘Do not break an oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord.’
