Job 16:9 TSK

His anger has torn me and persecuted me; he has gnashed at me with his teeth; my adversary locks his eyes on me.

When I tripped, they taunted me relentlessly, and tried to bite me.

Do not let them say to themselves,“Aha! We have what we wanted!” Do not let them say,“We have devoured him!”

They say,‘An awful disease overwhelms him, and now that he is bed-ridden he will never recover.’

May he send help from heaven and deliver me from my enemies who hurl insults!(Selah) May God send his loyal love and faithfulness!

When the wicked see this, they will worry; they will grind their teeth in frustration and melt away; the desire of the wicked will perish.

Yes, your land lies in ruins; it is desolate and devastated. But now you will be too small to hold your residents, and those who devoured you will be far away.

All who encountered them devoured them. Their enemies who did this said,‘We are not liable for punishment! For those people have sinned against the LORD, their true pasture. They have sinned against the LORD in whom their ancestors trusted.’

“King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon devoured me and drove my people out. Like a monster from the deep he swallowed me. He filled his belly with my riches. He made me an empty dish. He completely cleaned me out.”

“This is what the Sovereign LORD says:“You will drink your sister’s deep and wide cup; you will be scorned and derided, for it holds a great deal.

For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because you clapped your hands, stamped your feet, and rejoiced with intense scorn over the land of Israel,

So prophesy and say:‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Surely because they have made you desolate and crushed you from all directions, so that you have become the property of the rest of the nations, and have become the subject of gossip and slander among the people,

You should not have gloated when your relatives suffered calamity. You should not have rejoiced over the people of Judah when they were destroyed. You should not have boasted when they suffered adversity.

“I have heard Moab’s taunts and the Ammonites’ insults. They taunted my people and verbally harassed those living in Judah.
