¶ To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Blessed [is] he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

¶ He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.

‹Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.›

Then said he also to him that bade him, ‹When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor› [thy] ‹rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.›

For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

If others be partakers of [this] power over you, [are] not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

¶ But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
