¶ Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

¶ Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.

In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both [shall be] alike good.

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne [by me] from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

¶ Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, ‹The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:›
