The wicked^H7563 have drawn out^H6605 the sword,^H2719 and have bent^H1869 their bow,^H7198 To cast down^H5307 the poor^H6041 and needy,^H34 To slay^H2873 such as are upright^H3477 in the way.^H1870

And what will ye do^H6213 in the day^H3117 of visitation,^H6486 and in the desolation^H7722 which shall come^H935 from far?^H4801 to whom will ye flee^H5127 for help?^H5833 and where will ye leave^H5800 your glory?^H3519

Even so^G3779 let your^G5216 light^G5457 shine^G2989 before^G1715 men;^G444 that^G3704 they may see^G1492 your^G5216 good^G2570 works,^G2041 and^G2532 glorify^G1392 your^G5216 Father^G3962 who is^G3588 in^G1722 heaven.^G3772

that^G2443 ye may become^G1096 blameless^G273 and^G2532 harmless,^G185 children^G5043 of God^G2316 without blemish^G298 in^G1722 the midst^G3319 of a^G1074 crooked^G4646 and^G2532 perverse^G1294 generation,^G1074 among^G1722 whom^G3739 ye are seen^G5316 as^G5613 lights^G5458 in^G1722 the world,^G2889

Let^G2706 no man^G3367 despise^G2706 thy^G4675 youth;^G3503 but^G235 be thou^G1096 an ensample^G5179 to them that believe,^G4103 in^G1722 word,^G3056 in^G1722 manner^G391 of life, in^G1722 love,^G26 in^G1722 faith,^G4102 in^G1722 purity.^G47

Be ye^G5158 free from the love^G866 of money; content^G714 with such things as ye have:^G3918 for^G1063 himself^G846 hath said,^G2046 I will^G447 in no^G3756 wise^G3361 fail^G447 thee,^G4571 neither will I in any^G3756 wise^G3361 forsake^G1459 thee.^G4571

Who^G5101 is wise^G4680 and^G2532 understanding^G1990 among^G1722 you?^G5213 let him show^G1166 by^G1537 his good^G2570 life^G391 his^G846 works^G2041 in^G1722 meekness^G4240 of wisdom.^G4678

having^G2192 a good^G18 conscience;^G4893 that,^G2443 wherein^{G3739 G1722} ye^G5216 are spoken against,^{G2635 G5613 G2555} they may be put to shame^G2617 who revile^G1908 your^G5216 good^G18 manner of life^G391 in^G1722 Christ.^G5547

If^G1487 ye are reproached^G3679 for^G1722 the name^G3686 of Christ,^G5547 blessed^G3107 [are ye]; because^G3754 the [Spirit]^G4151 of^G987 glory^G1391 and^G2532 the Spirit of God^G2316 resteth^G373 upon^G1909 you.^G5209
