Wherefore is light^H216 given^H5414 to him that is in misery,^H6001 And life^H2416 unto the bitter^H4751 in soul;^H5315

Am I a sea,^H3220 or a sea-monster,^H8577 That thou settest^H7760 a watch^H4929 over me?

If he be^H2654 pleased to contend^H7378 with him, He cannot answer^H6030 him one^H259 of a thousand.^H505

For he is not a man,^H376 as I am, that I should answer^H6030 him, That we should come^H935 together^H3162 in judgment.^H4941

If I sin,^H2398 then thou markest^H8104 me, And thou wilt not acquit^H5352 me from mine iniquity.^H5771

But now thou numberest^H5608 my steps:^H6806 Dost thou not watch^H8104 over my sin?^H2403

Know^H3045 now^H645 that God^H433 hath subverted^H5791 me [in my cause], And hath compassed^H5362 me with his net.^H4686

Thou art turned^H2015 to be cruel^H393 to me; With the might^H6108 of thy hand^H3027 thou persecutest^H7852 me.

Gird up^H247 now thy loins^H2504 like a man;^H1397 For I will demand^H7592 of thee, and declare thou unto me.

With whom took he counsel,^H3289 and who instructed^H995 him, and taught^H3925 him in the path^H734 of justice,^H4941 and taught^H3925 him knowledge,^H1847 and showed^H3045 to him the way^H1870 of understanding?^H8394

He is near^H7138 that justifieth^H6663 me; who will contend^H7378 with me? let us stand^H5975 up together:^H3162 who is mine adversary?^H1167 let him come near^H5066 to me.
