Therefore mine harpe is turned to mourning, and mine organs into the voyce of them that weepe.

It is good for me that I haue beene afflicted, that I may learne thy statutes.

They that sowe in teares, shall reape in ioy.

I saide of laughter, Thou art mad: and of ioy, What is this that thou doest?

And in that day did the Lord God of hosts call vnto weeping and mourning, and to baldnes and girding with sackecloth.

Then shall ye virgine reioyce in the dance, and the yong men and the old men together: for I wil turne their mourning into ioy, and wil comfort them, and giue them ioy for their sorowes.

The ioy of our heart is gone, our daunce is turned into mourning.

That thou mayest remember, and be ashamed, & neuer open thy mouth any more: because of thy shame when I am pacified toward thee, for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord God.

Blessed are they that mourne: for they shall be comforted.

Wo be to you that are full: for ye shall hunger. Wo be to you that now laugh: for ye shal wayle and weepe.

For godly sorowe causeth repentance vnto saluation, not to be repented of: but the worldly sorowe causeth death.

In as much as she glorified her selfe, and liued in pleasure, so much giue ye to her torment & sorow: for she saith in her heart, I sit being a queene, and am no widowe, and shall see no mourning.
